Christian Probst Proof-104.jpg

Christian Probst is a recent Yale graduate with a double major in Theater & Economics. He just moved to the city and is hoping to solve the world's toughest problem: How to make money in the arts!

He performed for 12 consecutive summers in principal roles at The St. Louis Muny and Stages St. Louis with Broadway actors and creatives. At Yale he performed with the Yale Dramatic Association, the second-oldest college theatre association in the country in The Drowsy Chaperone (Robert Martin), Lippa's The Wild Party (Burrs), and many others (see resume). He also was fortunate enough to star in 3 original musicals during his time at Yale. At school he trained with YaleDancers and choreographed several productions, including the 2015 Dramat Mainstage Merrily We Roll Along and a 3rd Year Yale School of Drama Directing Thesis.

He took his fourth year off from Yale to travel with The Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest collegiate a cappella group. He traveled to 28 countries and sang for such distinguished figures as Angela Lansbury, Hillary Clinton, Julie Andrews, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Former Secretary of State John Kerry.

In between his five years he reprised his role as Flounder in the National Tour of Disney's The Little Mermaid and played Link Larkin in Hairspray at Theatre Aspen.

Christian and The Whiffs

Every year, a group of rising Yale seniors are selected to be in the Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the "Whiffs" began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple Bar, the famous Yale tavern. Today, the group has become one of Yale's most celebrated traditions.
